CBD Oils and Extracts: You Can't Beat the Whole Plant
/I have tried and tested about 20 different CBD (hemp) oils on the market, and while many are good, none I have found are as powerful in my experience as Hemp Paste from Mynutra.com, which is the whole cannabis plant ground up and mixed in coconut oil. Of the oils I have tried, Apex Cold Pressed CBD Oil is the strongest extract I have found, and while it works well, it still is not as powerful as Hemp Paste in my experience, and there are other caveats. Apex CBD Oil is a bit more expensive per milligram of CBD than Hemp Paste and has a harsh taste that burns my throat and leaves a strong cannabis smell on one’s breath; not a big deal, but if I have an important meeting or I’m out in public, I don’t want to smell like a stoner. While Hemp Paste has some of the classic skunky cannabis taste that some people don’t like, it has a sweetness that I quickly came to enjoy after a few days of use, and I don’t reek of cannabis after eating it, despite the fact that I get stronger effects.
When I first started using/testing CBD products, I came across scientific studies showing CBD extracts were not as powerful for health benefits as using the whole plant, which my experience confirmed when comparing oils and Hemp Paste, and from decades of experience using herbs in general for healing and detoxification. While herbal extracts can be very powerful for detoxification and healing, the whole raw plants and juices are always more powerful because the complex synergistic chemistry and energetics of the plant are more intact, including highly regenerative monatomic elements, antioxidants, phytonutrients, etc. The manufacturer of Hemp Paste, My Nutra, recently released a video noting what the science is showing about the efficacy of oils and extracts vs. whole plant hemp, check it out.
